Angela Smith, the proud owner of Aberdeen Gift and Tourist Shop, purchased the establishment in June 2021 while pursuing her BA Hons in International Tourism Management at Robert Gordon University Aberdeen.

The Aberdeen Gift and Tourist Shop always gives a warm greeting for customers, both domestic and international.  In order to ensure that the store is properly stocked, Angela enjoys getting to know her customers, particularly their needs and wants. To ensure that her customers receive the best products possible, Angela often visits suppliers' locations and trade exhibitions to ensure a wide range of products are accessible for all of her customers. It's common to see Angela conversing and laughing with her patrons. This is essential to Angela since she wants to create a welcome and cheerful atmosphere at the shop.

In 2022, Angela launched a department titled "Made in Scotland," wherein she collaborates with independent Scottish suppliers to provide customers authentic local products that might not be found in every high-street store. A large number of the goods are custom-crafted for Aberdeen Gift and Tourist Shop and are manufactured to order. Being an independent business, Angela feels it's vital to promote other independent suppliers, which is why she's proud to offer this part of the shop. The shop also stocks products from independent suppliers from further afield.
